Dear ANONYMOUS Friend,

What is this Standard Deduction Rs. 40,000? In 2018-19, you are entitled to a Standard deduction of Rs. 40,000 in your income under Income Tax. How is this Standard deduction factored into CTC? Does this amount impose a cost on your employer?
