You have to add the new plot and prepare a revised layout plan, submit it to the Inspectorate of Factories, and get it approved. If you have a plan for an extension or a new unit at the newly purchased plot at a later date, then do not declare it now. Put up a fence and let the construction be completed. Until that time, the site will be considered a construction area, and the Factories Act will not be applicable.

A new factory layout drawing needs to be prepared afresh, incorporating the new area. The same drawing and layout should then be submitted for approval to the office of the Factory Inspector. The newly acquired area should be included within the boundary of the factory premises. Any new area developed through expansion should be reported to the Department of Central Excise, as it functions as a production unit.

As per MP Factories Rules (no. 9) 1962, an amendment to the factory license is needed if the max. B.H.P. installed on any day exceeds the limits, or the max. number of workers to be employed on any day exceeds, or affects any change in the name of the factory as mentioned in the existing license. These three contingencies are not mentioned by you, so there appears no necessity to amend the factory license. Merely adding a plot could be taken care of while submitting for renewal of the license.
