I am currently working in an international bank, and for the past three years, I have been moved to a different project where I have not been given proper training. The process is very difficult, and the quality criteria are very critical. I have never been supported by management or team members. Due to this, I have consistently received low ratings for two years. Additionally, I have been harassed by management numerous times, which was the root cause of my underperformance. There is a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) policy in the company for the previous year YTD. Although I am currently performing well, they have raised another PIP for me based on last year's performance and started harassing me again. This has caused me to lose my patience, resulting in the failure of the PIP for this month. I am now afraid of losing my job, and my manager has not yet discussed the consequences of this PIP with me. I am concerned about my age, as it is an operational job where individuals over 35 are not valued. I am now 40 years old and do not have any financial support besides my job. Finding a new job in this field or at my age is very challenging. Please help me or possibly connect me with HR over the phone to support or assist me in saving my current job or exploring new job opportunities.

Dear Kanchan,
We, members of this forum, understand the rough patch in your career that you are passing through. However, you have not mentioned the type of work you do and why you are unable to perform. You blame your poor performance on your management, your team members, and above all, not receiving training to perform the task. You mention that you have been receiving poor ratings for the last two years. Nevertheless, if this was the situation, why did you not approach your management and ask for training to improve your performance? Have you taken feedback from your manager on how to enhance your performance?
At this stage, we, members of this forum, can only advise you to identify your shortcomings and overcome them to retain your job. This is an HR forum, and you likely work in some IT technical department.
Furthermore, you have accused your management of harassment. However, this is your version. We need to hear the views from the other side as well. Therefore, no comments can be made on whether you faced harassment at the hands of the management.
Regarding the way you have written your post, it is far from satisfactory. Your post reflects that you may not have a quality orientation. You have written the post as if the rules of grammar do not apply to you! In addition to this, there are many spelling mistakes too. Why did you feel that this forum does not maintain professional standards? Can this type of post be acceptable from a person who is 40? Therefore, the only advice we can give you is to improve your faith in quality in general and accuracy in particular.
Lessons for HR Professionals: Based on the accounts given by the originator of this post, it can be deduced that there is a clear mismatch between the skills that the employee possesses and the job requirements. While it is difficult to find a person who is 100% fit for the job, skill deficiencies can be addressed through training. However, the poster mentions that they were not provided with any training. Therefore, the company in general and HR, in particular, have failed in recruitment as well as employee training. The poster appears to be under stress or in a distraught condition due to these reasons. Nevertheless, there is a possibility that HR might be organizing workplace games to engage employees or arranging lectures by outside speakers on workplace stress. If true, by doing so, HR could be overlooking the root cause of the issue. It is surprising that this type of post comes from a person working in an international bank.

Hello Sir,
As discussed in the previous post, I cannot explain everything in detail as it is a public site. Is it possible to talk to you or any other HR professional on the phone? Although it's an international bank I am working with, the job category is BPO back-end operations. We have to review customer complaints and process payments. As I mentioned in the previous post regarding harassment, it is actually happening, and due to this, I am feeling stressed while working and unable to concentrate.
I have been working in this organization for the last 5 years, and my previous issue was resolved, leading me to be moved to a different process within the same organization. In my previous role, I was a consistent performer. I have a total of 10 years of experience, having worked efficiently in renowned companies until now.
Please also advise me on potential job opportunities. I would be very thankful if I could discuss the scenario over the phone.
Thanks and Regards,
Kanchan
