While technology-based training may be cost-effective, employers, in general, and HR professionals, in particular, should not excessively rely on this mode of training solely for cost-saving purposes.
Over the past 15 years, I have observed that HR professionals have shown less interest in measuring the ROI of employee training. The impact of technology-based training on this attitude is yet to be determined.
