Could anyone please clarify whether the PMRPY scheme could be made applicable to a Manpower Supply Contractor who serves different clients?

In case a contractor eligible for the scheme experiences a drop in employment numbers from the reference base, the condition that the establishment will not be eligible for the scheme in months where employment is below this reference base is correct and valid. This variation often occurs suddenly for contract manpower supply.

Yes, any notification will be strictly interpreted. If the notification is conditional, then it is for the contractor to ensure that the numbers do not slip.

One of my friends' establishments has 60 employees in two units. It falls under the general engineering industries. They have not registered under the Factories Act but cover all employees under EPF and ESIC. Can they register under the PMRPY scheme? What will happen during an inspection?

Kindly advise.

Hi,

We are a manpower supplier based in Bangalore. Seniors, please guide us: can the principal employer recover the PMRPY benefits from the contractor through their monthly bills without the consent of the contractor?
