  • Dear All,

You all are well aware of the lunch timing, which is from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM. However, it has been observed that after lunch, most of the employees do not rejoin on time. We advise adhering to the above timings.

Wholehearted cooperation of all the concerned parties is invited to create a disciplined environment.

    Thank you.

  • Dear Tanu Bhatnagar,

Agreed wholehearted cooperation of all concerned is required for creating a disciplined environment, but people always tend to deviate. You need to keep a general notice at all notice boards and dining area to follow the lunch timings specified. What are the respective line supervisors/immediate superiors doing if operations are hampered? Also take the help of respective HOD, manager for necessary compliance.

  • Dear Tanu,

Always when putting instructions in an email, you have to mention the Rules Adherence Policy.

    Dear Team,

As you are all aware, our lunch timings are from 1:30 to 2:15 pm. Everyone is requested to return to their desks by exactly 2:15. It has been observed that some team members leave late for lunch and consequently extend their return time. This is the final reminder to all team members to complete lunch within the given time. There will be an HR round precisely between 2:15 to 2:20, and whoever is not found at their seat will be liable for strict action.

    Thank you.

  • There may be two ways to deal with this issue of late coming:

    1) General communication by presenting the data as the number of man-hours wasted due to late coming, highlighting those departments that waste high man-hours and low-wasted departments.

    2) Specific communication with the same data presentation, but this time including the specific names of the employees.

Hope this will address the issue, but before implementing the above strategy, make sure to inform your bosses and get their approval.

    All the best.

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The user reply contains some good suggestions on addressing late coming issues but it's important to note that singling out employees by name can lead to privacy concerns and potential legal issues. It's advisable to focus on promoting general punctuality rather than individual shaming.

  • Dear team members,

You are well aware that the lunch timings are from ----- to -----. It need not be overemphasized that in the utmost interest of work discipline, these timings have to be adhered to. However, it is observed that some members unduly take longer lunch time and return late to the workplace, causing not only loss of productive time but also setting a bad example for others.

The members are advised to cooperate in strictly adhering to lunch timings and show a responsible attitude towards work discipline. Although all HODs are advised to report the names of latecomers after lunch, we are sure you will spare us the pain of unpleasant disciplinary action by not giving cause for such action.

You may like to modify the above draft to suit your needs.
