Hello, I am looking out for a "Notes" functionality or a "Diary" functionality that can be incorporated into a performance management system. The Notes or Diary should have private or public access functionality. Can such components be incorporated into a PMS system? If so, which are the tools available in the market?

Dear Neha,
In my training on Performance Management System, I handle topic of how to maintain performance diary.
The term “performance” is comprehensive and all good and not so good acts of subordinates are to be recorded. Record keeping is necessary since appraisal is done twice or four times a year and certain events may be erased from our memory with passage of time. The records of routine activities are not to be recorded in the Performance Diary (PD). However, whenever a subordinate fails short of expectation or does something extraordinary, only those things are to be recorded. There is no need to maintain a separate diary against each individual but a single register should suffice a purpose. PD is company property and it needs to properly handed over during the separation of HOD or a manager.
For more information, you may organise my consulting on PMS. Not just PD, but you will get well-researched Policy on PMS as well.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar

Dear Neha,
It is quite necessary on part of the management to map the Performance of the staff on day basis. The mangement should start maintaining of the daily pogress report of individual. Thus Management would able to know what is performance status of each at the end of the day.
