Dear All,

Need help, I was working in the social development sector as a Manager for the last 22 months in Delhi. Suddenly, the organization decided in a single day to terminate me from my services immediately with unjustified reasons. They are saying that due to my sheer negligence of the duties and responsibilities assigned to me and my inability in discharging my duties. However, the fact is very different: during this period, I received three appraisals for my good performance, and I was the person who secured renewals for many projects for the organization. The reality is that they are protecting some senior officials and concealing their flawed system when presenting projects to reputable clients. The organization expected me to manage a project without the necessary resources and without spending any money. When the client visited, they discovered that no work had been done for the past 5 months. I was the mid-level in charge of that project, and some senior officials conveyed false information. Subsequently, they portrayed me as solely responsible for the project's failures, absolving the organization of any blame. They fabricated a full story against me to present to the owner of the organization, leading to my termination.

I requested my notice period salary, payment for my accrued leaves, and payment for the number of working days until my last working day. After persistent follow-up over 14 days, they provided details of my working days' payment and the encashment of my paid leaves. When I inquired about my notice period amount, they refused to pay, citing that it is not in their policy (as verbally conveyed by HR).

Am I eligible for the 30-day notice period payment from the organization in this situation? How can I easily obtain my payments from the organization? How can I challenge the unjustified reasons for my termination, and is it possible to do so? If yes, where can I lodge a complaint about the same?

Waiting for replies...

Hi Ranjit,

What I could read from your text is the arrogance and culture of your previous organization. Next time, find a better organization. As you have received some payment and relieving, my recommendation is not to get into a battle and put your effort. There are plenty of opportunities for experienced people, so stay away from negative energy and unnecessary stress.

Dear Friend,

Some social organizations are gradually turning into not-so-social organizations, and your case is a burning example. Now, they are converting into profit-making organizations. You have not mentioned anything about service conditions/appointment letter. For appropriate advice, please share your appointment letter.
