We are an IT company, and our current strength is 22, of which 7 are trainees for a 6-month period whose salary is 15000 INR per month. All other employees earn 25K and above. Is it obligatory to get our company registered under EPF and ESIC? Once the training period of the trainees is over, their salary shall be revised to Rs. 30K per month. Please advise.

Yes, it is required for any company employing 20 or more employees, whereas there is no specification given for registration under the act regarding the salary limit. The specification of the salary limit is available only for the purpose of contributions and not for registration.
