Understanding Signature Requirements in Manufacturing Salary Registers - CiteHR

Dear all friends,

I am working in a manufacturing company and I want to know about the salary register. We generate a salary register every month and we take the signature of all employees in this register. It is mandatory to take a signature in this register because I see some companies can't do this type of practice. Please provide me with guidance regarding this.

if you issue salary slips and pay the wages by cheque or NEFT, then signature on the acknowledgement is sufficient, but if paid in cash then it is mandatory to get signed on register

1. Signature is mandatory on salary register if salary is paid in cash. In case of bank transfer it is not required.
