One of our employees has applied for maternity leave. Please give a detailed plan on how to process the leave from HR side?

Dear HR Team,

If a female employee has completed 80 days of service before proceeding on maternity leave, then she is entitled to 84 days of maternity leave. You can record maternity leave (ML) in the register and make payments on a monthly basis, similar to how you handle other types of leave like EL/CL.

If someone takes AL for 40 days, you would make the payment in the same manner as you do for other types of leave.

Shajipriya Maternity benefit is not monthly payment as said by Malikjs.Prenatal benefit for forty two days shall be paid in advance.Post natal 42 days shall be paid in 48 hours.

Akhil As on today as per Maternity Benefit Act it is 84 days not 26 weeks.It is only proposal to give 26 weeks.But some companies are giving 26 ,weeks.
