1. Sir, please intimate what is "D Category" as mentioned by you in your above post. The category or designation is not relevant regarding coverage under ESI Act, 1948 and rules/regulations framed thereunder.
2. Coverage under ESI Act, 1948 is not optional. An employee who starts getting wages exceeding to the coverage limit (after excluding OT) is required to be not covered or excluded from coverage from the beginning of next contribution period.
