Domain Change - IT Recruitment to payroll, compensation and employee benefits - what areas I have to concentrate?

Hello everyone! I am having 3.6 years experience in IT Recruitment. Now I want to know the other aspects of HR like payroll, compensation and employee benefits. I want to go into the Generalist role. Please guide me on what areas I have to concentrate and how should I present myself. I have a basic knowledge overall.

First,join any industry where you can use your basic Knowledge of HR........cover all the area from Attendance Management to Full and Final settlement.
