I need some help. I have filled out a PF withdrawal form and submitted it to the PF office with my UAN and updated KYC, which was verified by the PF officer. However, after 10 days, I received a notification from the PF office stating that my withdrawal form was rejected because one UAN number has two Member IDs.
This is correct as there are two member IDs activated with one UAN number, but the employers are different. I am seeking your input on how to resolve this issue as I understand that it is permissible for one UAN number to have more than one Member ID.

As per the law and government rules, one cannot open two accounts. Accounts can be transferred from one industry to another by filling out Form No. 31.
I understand your concerns - it seems your employer may not be aware of this. Please address this with your employer to ensure a clear process for PF withdrawal.
