The company I am working for was incorporated in mid-2011; however, we only commenced operations in February 2012. We are in the food & beverage business - quick-service restaurants. Are we supposed to give any bonus? Would appreciate a reply. Thank you.

Hi,
Most of the MNC companies give bonuses to employees during the Diwali festival based on the company's net profit for the financial year. According to the Bonus Act amendment of 2010, employees whose basic salary is below or equal to Rs.10,000/- are eligible to receive a bonus if they have worked in the establishment for not less than thirty working days in that year.
Note: No need to give a bonus for Diwali 2012.
