We have a Central Office in Gurgaon but have employees deputed at clients' sites in different states. We do not have any branch offices in any other state. Is it mandatory to take the ESIC sub-code for every state in which the employees have been deployed? If yes, which address to provide as we don't have any branch office in the state?
1. Sir, in order to avail ESI medical facilities by the covered staff, it is essential that the staff is attached/enrolled with the Branch Office and ESI dispensary where they are employed. From your above post, it is not clear whether your deputing some employees at client's sites in different states is a permanent feature or is only for few days.
2. You can submit the declaration forms/generate sub code number by indicating the site of your client where the said employees are working. However, before taking any action, you can discuss the issue with the appropriate branch office of ESIC to which said clients site is attached.

Thank you, Harsh. The employees have been deployed for about 12 months at the clients' site. Some clients don't want their site address to be put in ESI registration as they fear unnecessary hassle by the department. Also, the ESI portal allows to link any dispensary across India while generating TIC. Will this cause a problem if TIC is generated with a central code while the dispensary linked is as per the place of deployment.
1.Sir,I think, in the situation as mentioned by you one of circular dated 31/1/2011 issued by ESIC may be of some help to you. I am indicating online link of the same as follows:-

2. However, I will suggest you to please also discuss the issue with the Branch Office to which your employees are required to be registered. I am not sure about present online procedure of generation of TICs, but if the ESI dispensary to which the employees are registered is different from the place of their work, then definitely they will face difficulties in getting medical treatment and also difficulty in getting benefits including TDB/PDB in case of accidents, if any.
