I have applied for an IJP in my organization and got selected as well. However, my immediate boss got annoyed, trapped me in politics, and portrayed to HR that I am not loyal to my company. I tried to prove myself as I was not at fault, but they all pressured me to resign. Consequently, I left the organization without any reason, and my company did not pay me a penny or provide any documents. I realized that because my boss has been working there for the past 7 years, my words held no value, and despite not having done anything wrong, I was perceived as guilty in front of everyone. I am seeking advice on how to address this situation.

Dear Mr. Nathrao,

IJP stands for Internal Job Posting. Employers use this method to fill positions either by promoting existing employees or by rehiring former employees.

Dear Tyagi Nehu,

I am having trouble understanding one thing: if you were selected for a position, how did that lead to your resignation? Office politics may exist everywhere, but that does not mean anyone can compel you to resign.

It is important to be aware of employees' rights during employment with any company, which are typically governed by the company's standing orders supported by labor laws.

To address your query, which is not clearly stated, I would need to know: Do you have your appointment letter? Is there any evidence supporting the allegations against you? Were you asked to resign on short notice? What does your appointment letter specify regarding the notice period?

I also kindly request you to specify your query so that we can provide more accurate answers.

There are lots of loose ends in your briefing. You have to provide relevant information to elicit desired solutions. Please let us know:

1. What type of establishment are you working in, how many employees are there, and how many of them are female?

2. What is the level of your position—junior, middle, or senior—and in which department?

3. How many years of service have you rendered in this company?

4. Is there a proper setup of HR and labor acts, and are policies being followed?

5. Are you covered by any Standing Orders or conduct and discipline rules of your own?

6. What was the necessity to opt for IJP, and why would your boss get annoyed by this? Could it be considered insubordination?

7. How could you be trapped and proven to be disloyal to your company? Can choosing the IJP option be so lethal that it costs your job?

8. How can they force you to resign unless you yield to their "force"? Was it a physical threat or some blackmailing method adopted? What would have happened if you had refused to succumb to the force?

9. What reason did you mention in your resignation letter for quitting?

10. Was there anyone who could help or guide you in your company?

11. Does a redressal mechanism or union exist to take up your problems with management?

12. Are you prepared to fight it out legally with the help of outsiders like an advocate, women's rights organization, or other NGOs?

Please provide more information to help and suggest with our ideas.
