I recently joined a company in Mumbai. At the time of joining, they gave me a copy of the offer letter printout and said it is original as the CEO has signed it. After successfully completing 3 months of probation, they gave me another printout, now with the company stamp on it. When I asked for the offer letter on bond paper with the company letterhead on it, they said that my offer letter is authenticated with the company stamp, so there is no need to worry about the bond paper as the printout copy with the company stamp is equivalent to bond paper. Please assist me with the following confusion of mine. I hope I'm clear on my subject.

Dear Ravi, If the Letter has been printed on the company letter head, it is a valid letter and there is no need to have the same on the Bond Paper. Regards, Ashutosh Thakre

In today's world, there is no difference between a letterhead or bond paper or ordinary print. The days when people bothered to print letterheads are gone. In fact, many documents are now simply sent via email.

They have provided you with a letter bearing the signature of an authorized officer of the company. That should suffice.

I do hope the signature is original and not a photocopy of the signature. Providing a properly duly signed offer/appointment letter bearing a signature in ink and the company seal is a proper way of documentation and authenticity.

Dear Ravi,

I was just going through your above post. I want to ask you about your Appointment Letter. While an offer letter can be sent via mail, scan, or Word, in the long term and for all the terms of your appointment, only the Appointment Letter is used. If you are a confirmed employee, then you would have surely submitted all your documents. Please inquire about the Appointment Letter.

Best of luck!

The procedure is in order and you are now confirmed. Forget about apprehension or worries. Enjoy working!
