Dear All,
We are implementing new employee code system in our company.
For GM and DGM
For Technical staff
For Non Technical staff
Its wise to seperate people according to hierarchy or give the employee code according to their doj , month and year.. Pls give your valubale suggestions.
Its urgent..

Gauri:
in either the ways you can give the codes, but try to choose one which doesnt give any sort of trouble
if you give accross the board based on their DOJ that would be really good because you will not have any pain, if at all you want to give department/Cadre wise then you need to be very careful and create different #'s

employee code based of DOJ will be good, since based on this many reports and informations can be gathered.

As per my exp. Employee code may be in such a mode that from Emp. Code we can recgnise the catogary of emploee, his present status etc. In manufacturing we are applying this formula whre 4000 - 5000 peoples are working
