Hi Seniors,
I joined an MNC two years back, but till date, I did not receive my appointment letter from HR. All my co-workers got their appointment letters after a month of joining, even some who joined after me received their appointment letters on time. Whenever I ask HR for the appointment letter, he denies and says the company does not provide appointment letters to employees. At the same time, when I question him about why all my coworkers received their appointment letters on time but not me, there is no satisfactory answer. They tell me to use my salary slips and attendance as proof when joining a new company.
Two freshers who joined after me with the same designation received their appointment letters on time, and their salary is also Rs. 5000 more than mine. When I ask HR for the reason, once again, there is no clear response.
It seems like I am just wasting my time here. Please advise on what to do.

It's really strange that you did not receive the appointment letter, and it's been two years now. Since nothing is working from the HR end, then you have to seek help from your respective department HOD or can approach the Plant head / Operations head for help. First, take an appointment from them and explain your issue in detail, and express your need for support from them. It will work out. If even then nothing moves, then you are in big trouble and should look out for other opportunities.

Appointment letter is an important document to prove your employment and employer details to your next organization. I would suggest you draft an email to your HR, keeping your HOD in the loop, and ask for the appointment letter. Also, inquire about an increment letter or appraisal form in case there has been any appraisal in the last two years. This will surely help you.
Best of luck!

Dear Nithish,
As you were told by your HR, he is correct. He is trying to help you by saying, "You have salary slips and attendance; show them as proof whenever you join a new company." It appears that your company wants you to move on independently; they do not want to cause you trouble by letting you go. Try to find a new job and move on. All of this is my assumption; the truth is known only to God.
Thank you.
