Hope you all are doing great. I've joined Software Pvt Ltd company. I want to know whether ESI is applicable to software companies registered under the Companies Act. If yes, what is the procedure for employer registration? Is it the same as normal employer registration?

Dear Bharath ji,

I presume you are from Hyderabad. Answers to your queries are as follows:

The ESI Act is applicable to Software Companies as well. The Act applies when you have 10 or more employees.

To register as an employer, you need to log in to the ESI portal and submit the registration form online. There is no distinction between normal employer registration and any other type of registration.
