I am working in a listed company. They are paying me less than CTC due to a performance bonus which is included in the CTC at maximum. Also, my offer letter does not contain the words "performance bonus." They simply wrote "bonus" there. Should I claim on the company for the difference amount?

Talk to your HR. See the salary components carefully. Sometimes CTC consists of two parts - one is fixed, and another is variable. The variable part is based on performance. If there is no such clause in the offer letter and it doesn't include any performance clause or deductions, then you can proceed to defend yourself and claim your remaining salary. Good luck!

Dear Manoj,

Since few companies/organizations include KRA incentives or performance bonus in CTC, which they give at the time of performance appraisal, it is obvious that your monthly salary may vary. Normally, performance bonus or KRA incentives are given by companies at the end of the fiscal year.

Hi Read CTC clearly and get clarified by HR. Check monthly pay and and your payslip . Performance Bonus is normally paid annually after performance appraisal.
