We are using CRY and Helpage birthday cards. The cards are signed by the Managing Director and other employees of that location, and the same is given to the employee on his/her birthday by the HR Team in person. I believe greeting an employee with a card or bouquet instead of mailing an e-card will have a greater impact.

I agree with Zena. In my company, we have birthday cards printed with our company logo on them. We circulate them in the office for colleagues to write birthday wishes, and on the actual birthday, the card is personally handed over to the employee.
