Hi All,

I have a query regarding TCS BGC. Please, I need your help urgently. I have been selected for TCS and have the offer for the same. I have a total of 4 years of experience in IT. In the BGC form submitted to TCS, I have not mentioned one of my employers as it was a very short duration of only 3 months.

Assuming I have 5 years of experience, I have shown my experience in IT for the first 2 years at Company A. Then, I joined Company B but left the company after 3 months due to location issues (which I did not mention anywhere in TCS). After that, I joined another company, Company C, and have been working there for the past 1.7 years.

I mentioned this 3-month employment gap as I was looking for a job in the BGC form. Could this be a problem in the BGC? Will I lose the TCS job? I have already resigned from my current organization. Please help me with this.

Thanks in Advance,

Rahul_786: Yes, you will. Not mentioning the 3-month gap or mentioning it incorrectly will be considered fraud. Issues like this impact your credibility. Talk to your HR point of contact. Apologize and be upfront about it. Trying to shade the truth or praying that TCS will not discover or uncover this is of no use.

Hope this helps.

  • Dear Sir,

You have already received the TCS offer letter and submitted the BGC form. Everything is in order. Please do not include the left experience period. In the future, they may suspect and you could lose goodwill. Before submitting your profile, make sure to add your work experience and periods. Your goodwill is very important. This is my opinion.

    Regards, Parameswri.

  • I think showing a fake experience certificate should be considered as fraud, and it might also be detected during a background check.

What is the issue if someone works for only 2 months and then leaves the organization after serving the full notice period because the organization or project is not suitable for their job role?

In the future, if they do not mention this 2-month experience, it should not be a significant issue in terms of job loss. If they claim it was due to a medical emergency, how could their future employer find and prove that they were employed for those 2 months at XYZ organization?

HR professionals, please provide your valuable feedback.

  • Hi Mehul Patel,

I am currently working on a project for TCS through a third-party payroll. The job started almost 1.5 months ago. However, a few days back, the TCS BGC Department contacted me asking for my Relieving Letter and Experience Letter from my previous company. I provided the required documents within 1-2 days.

The main issue now is that the TCS BGC Department is cross-verifying with my previous company via email. If my previous company gives a negative review, will TCS continue my job through the third-party payroll? Can TCS or the third-party company terminate my contract or stop it altogether if they receive negative feedback?

I am concerned because I am certain that my previous company will provide a negative review due to some personal matters that were involved during my time there. I am seeking advice or any insights you may have regarding this situation.

    Thank you,

  • Hi Rahul,

Recently, my friend joined TCS. However, she is providing fake experience as her last working day was in 2018. She altered her relieving letter, salary pay slips, and the background check was also completed successfully. Does she need to worry about her employment in TCS?

    Thank you.

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The user reply contains inaccuracies. It is important to clarify that termination due to background check failure should be communicated by the employer, not the employee. There is no mention of termination in the original post. It's crucial to ensure correct information is provided to avoid misunderstandings.
