Dear Members,
I would like to start my housekeeping services. I am looking forward to all the rules, acts pertaining to the Minimum Wage Act, ESIC, PF, service tax, etc. applicable to the services in the state of Madhya Pradesh. We have a team ready along with the confirmed contract. The owner of the establishment wants us to start the work immediately.
I want to go ahead after knowing the required details of registration with competent authorities so that everybody's interests are safeguarded.

1. Sir, as far as coverage under the ESI Act, 1948 is concerned, please first confirm whether the area where your establishment is located is an implemented area under section 1(3) of the said Act. You can verify this information at the nearest ESIC office, such as the Branch Office or Regional Office.
2. If it is determined that the area where your establishment is situated is an implemented area, your establishment will be covered under the said Act if you employ 10 or more persons.
3. If both of the above tests/conditions are met, you may reach out to the Social Security Officer at ESIC in your area or the Regional Director of ESIC in Madhya Pradesh, Indore, to obtain a Code Number under the aforementioned Act for compliance. ESIC has also established an online procedure for obtaining Code Numbers, and to learn more about the procedure, you can contact the nearest SSO/Branch Office Manager of the organization.
