Is Annamalai University - Industrial Safety (Distance Education Course) a certified course for becoming a safety officer in Tamil Nadu? If not, kindly suggest any part-time or distance course in industrial safety that is approved by the Tamil Nadu Factories Rule. Hope you reply at the earliest.

As per the Factories Act, a candidate must have a degree in ME-Industrial Safety Engineering from a Government-approved institution under the Ministry of Labor and Employment. Additionally, a PG Diploma in Industrial Safety from RLI, Chennai or CLI, Mumbai is required. These criteria will be taken into consideration in industries when recruiting Safety Officers.
