Hi, Can anyone tell me that a district & session court, high court, supreme court comes under RTI act or not.

Sir,
1. Hon'ble Courts are "public authorities" as defined under section 2(h) of RTI Act, 2005 and required to furnish information by virtue of provisions contained under said Act.
2. However, before submitting application on prescribed form, you may ascertain the designation and address of the Public Information Officer, who is concerned officer to furnish you the information under said Act. This can be ascertained from the website of the concerned Hon'ble District Court/High Court.

Yes, court also comes under RTI Act however you cannot ask following information
1. Any matter which is subjudice
2. Any matter of information which may affect progress of the case
3. Any information which is personal in nature
4. Any information which may be threat for an individual's life
5. Any information which may harm India's sovereignty
6. Any information which may harm India's relation with other countries
7. Any Information prohibited under Secret Act
