Draft Standing Orders are available in this Forum. Please create a new DSO specific to your company/industry in Orissa. Then proceed with certifying the same. If you have registered trade unions, the procedure may take more time.

Dear Radhakrishnan Nair,

With due respect to you and to your chair, I need your valuable guidelines about the Gratuity Act. We have taken the Employee Group Gratuity Assurance Scheme from LIC.

My queries are:
- Is it mandatory to obtain Form F - Nomination Form of each employee to be held on record?
- Is it mandatory to give Notice of Opening to the respective area Controlling Authority?
- Is it mandatory to display a Notice about the Authorized Representative to receive Notice under Rule 4?
- Is it mandatory to inform the controlling authority about settlement/payment made towards Gratuity?

Q. No. 1 - Nomination - Yes, the same has to be obtained from all employees.

Q. No. 2 to 4 belong to the compliance part. The same needs to be complied with if your company wishes to fully comply with provisions.
