Dear Mr. Vidhyanand,

Please let us understand the case completely. Before reaching a conclusion on the OT payment, it is essential to know the type of leave the employee took on the next day.

Thank you.

Dear Vaidhyanath,
Overtime should be paid double on his wages / gross salary which means an employee works 4 hours in a day as a OT, he will be entitle to get 8 hours wages / gross salary towards Overtime payment.
For ex: an employee per day wages is of Rs. 400/-
He has worked 4 hours OT in a particular day, now he will get Rs. 400/- as an overtime excluding with his salary for that day.
I hope it’s clear.
Regards,
Janardan
