Dear friends,
I am Sandhya, an MBA (Marketing) graduate who graduated in 2003. Due to personal problems, I stayed at home for a long time without doing any job. However, since last year, I have been working as an HR Manager in a small company. Unfortunately, the company I am currently working for is going to shut down in a few days. Could you please guide and help me on how, with my limited experience, I can secure a new job?
Thank you.

Dear Sandhya, Since you have been working , the gap no longer matters. Your experience in this firm would account for your next job. Do you have any target role in mind ?

Dear Cite Contribution,
Thank you for your reply. I do have a target role as an HR Generalist. What are my chances of getting a new job, and how do I face an interview with such a gap? What kind of questions do I have to face with the interviewer? Please guide me.
Regards,
Sandhya

Dear Sandhya,
You have the experience from the existing role to talk about, and that's your starting point. When you apply for a job, be prepared to ask questions about it and then offer your best competencies. I wrote this sometime back. Would this help?
