Hi

Calm down, don’t worry, there are lot of people in this situation. You made certain choices in life, which dint work out, its ok, don’t sulk over time which has passed. Focus on present and future.

First, get this fear and opinion out of your mind regarding your age and gender as obstacle to get a job.

Second, prioritize what you want in life at the moment – Money or Career Line ? I presume you will say both !!  but as per the situation, which is your ultimate motivation ? Money or Career ! If its money, then just pick up any job which would pay you a decent salary, you can pick back office jobs, receptionist, front office, counter sales, merchandiser, executive assistant or secretary etc. if you have good computer knowledge you can work in computer teaching institutes to teach basics of computers etc. I understand my suggestion may not fetch you fancy salary package, but it will cushion your frustration with regards to taking care of your personal expense. As you get a decent job which takes care of your bills, then put your thinking cap on and focus on your interests - seek, search or hunt the relevant opportunity in which you want to make your career. Prepare yourself with skills and knowledge you shall possess to enter that field (don’t run behind certifications, you can get knowledge if you seek) always calculate the cost-benefit analysis of course you spend in.

Third, Stabilize your mind and mentality towards making a career choice, don’t run after fancy glamour careers. Prepare yourself for the challenges which you will face in any career you choose. Remember in life “there is no free lunch” and “life is bed of roses, but it comes with thorns”

Fourth, Stop comparing yourself with others, everyone is fighting some sort of battle and dilemmas in life. You are all alone in your battle of life, so face it, fight it, win it. Victory is yours and so are failures.

Fifth, you are not a burden on anyone, but your thinking is, God has plans for you, all you need to do is just keep walking, working, hoping for the best and best shall come to you.

Sixth, working abroad is not as rosy as you dream to be, once you are abroad you will miss India terribly, there is no better home than Sweet Home !

I understand my Philosophical Suggestions above has no practical use to you, but somewhere if it can atleast spark a positive thought process then you will get practical answers. Morever if you are seeking specific advise then provide specific details like, your interest, options, efforts etc.

Hello ridhhii,
Could you pl respond to Anuradha & Hussain?
I may have a few more things to say depending on your response--basically to put my finger on where your mental frame-of-mind stands in the current situation, before I make my attempt to channelize your experiences towards the options available to you.
At this point of time, I just have a word to spruce you up: Behind what one sees of successful people lies a lot of hard work & heaps of trials & tribulations and in many cases swallowed insults too. So just don't go by what you 'see' in others--there's a lot more than what you can see & notice.
Hope to see your response ASAP.
