Actually, recently I got selected in an MNC in Pune, and they follow a strict background checking policy. According to them, my previous employer was a Fake/Blacklisted Company by Nasscom, but this is not true. I've worked there for more than 2 years, and I have all the required documents, including Salary Slips, Bank Statements, etc. I discussed this with my previous employer as well. They have closed their operations now, but they are willing to provide any document required for verification. Now, I don't know how to proceed further. I don't want to lose this opportunity. Please suggest ways to solve this issue.

Well, you can talk to your current employer and explain your situation to them. You can share your unawareness with them. Since you have all the documents, I don't think there should be any problem. Also, since your past employer has closed their operations, you can seek help from your reporting manager as well. You can request your reporting manager (from the past organization) to provide the verification.
Hope this helps...

Dont worry too much. They are losing an honest dedicated employee over a process issue. You will find a better organization.

Dear Avinash,
If the employer closed down, that's none of your fault. If your future prospective employer measures you in such parameters, you better lose them. In your forthcoming interviews, when you mention this ex-employer, do share that they closed down and provide proof of their operations while you worked with them. Do your bit and avoid chasing the employer trusting hearsay.
Wish you all the best!

Dear Avinash,
In such a situation, you need to do three things:
1. During the interview, state everything about your ex-company.
2. Keep all the necessary documents: salary slips, work experience letters, etc.
3. Maintain trust with your ex-boss so that he/she can support your statements.
Thank you.
