Please help me with the legal notice format. One employee left the company and he took the company's laptop with him. As per company policy, he has to submit that asset. However, he left the company without submitting it. Management wants to send a legal notice to him for not returning the company's assets.

This is in reference to your resignation. We would also like to inform you that company assets (laptop, mobile, etc.) have been issued to you, which have not yet been submitted back to the company.
You are hereby requested to return all office assets that are still in your possession. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action by the company. If the assets are not returned promptly, the company will be compelled to file a police report (FIR) against you.
Please make the necessary arrangements as per your situation.
