MIS stands for Management Information System. A Bank Statement can also be called a MIS. This is a consolidated representation of facts and figures for a particular period. For example an MIS on recruitment will give you a quick glance on the current status as to which are the vacancies, which have been filled, how may are pending, what cost has been incurred, etc. etc. Similarly, MIS on any topic can be generated with an aim of providing maximum information.
