i am panki sharma MBA in HR.i have just got the job in a construction company as a H.R MANAGER,BUT I DO NOT HAVE EARLIER EXPERIENCE IN H.R,The worst part is that here is no any H.R senior who can guide me how to tackle the H.R stuff like P.F,& handling Payrolls,etc.i have just 6 months experience of recruitment and that too of a consultancy.I want to awork in H.R but i need some guidance or study material by which i can learn all these things.kindly guide me what to do????

dear panki don't confuse first of u prepare employees data base ,colect document,photo,than prepare wage register if you don't than done by consultant and work as a payroll coordinator,and give salary breakup if ctc.

What is your employees strength.
How many years old company
What is the procedure for making the payment to the employees.
Do you have the complete data base of the employees and workers in your organisation. If not start collecting & preparing the same database alongwith the Photos. Then start recording their attendance regularly. For recording the attendance you can use the biometric attendance system which is readily available in market and if you approach the service provider, they can supply you the tailor made attendance system which will match your requirement.
With that attendance, you can calculate the Wages / Salary of your workers / employees and from the wages you can calculate the PF and ESI.
But before that you must get registered with PF and ESI Department and get your company's Code Numbers. For registration you can directly approach the RPFO Office and ESIC Office or you can engage some agencies who can help you in registering your establishment under PF & ESI and get the code. Further you can approach the concerned enforcement authorities, who can also help you in this regard.
You can download the ESI Act and PF Act from Cite HR itself which is already uploaded by many of our members and only thing you need to do is type the key words in the "WHAT DO YOU NEED" box and click the "Research" Button which is available in the top of this page.

As said in the PM, I checked your PF Code of your company which is in Punjab at Ludhiana and in October 13 you have made payment for 91 persons on 19 Nov 2013. You can check the details in Payment History <link updated to site home> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) link. If you click on the No of employees then you can get the name of the employees covered during the month and as per the list your name is not available. Hence (If your name in this site is correct then) your PF for October is not remitted. Further it shows that you are not paying for your workers who are directly or through contractors engaged by you. Please start remitting for the same.
Already many paysheet formats are uploaded in this site and you can use the same for your workers as per the Biometric Attendance.
