Hi Everyone!

I have a confusion regarding my job. Please solve. I worked for 6 months as an Assistant HR in the Training Department of a corporate company in Vizag. I took a two-month leave. After the two-month break, I'm going to join the same company but in another branch in Hyderabad. Do I need to face an interview at this branch? If so, what kind of questions will arise?

Dear Archana,

I don't think that you can face another interview when you have already been hired and worked for 6 months. However, a little chit-chat or discussion about your responsibilities in the previous branch can take place between you and your new boss and colleagues.

Dear Archana,

I do not believe you have to face another interview as you did not leave the organization but were on leave. If the company approved your leave and has changed your place for reporting for work to another location, then you might have to undergo an orientation program. It is always better to get to know your new reporting boss and HR representative to get better oriented to expectations.

All the best!

You said you took two months' leave. I am assuming it was approved leave. You also mentioned that you are joining the same company in another branch. Is it an internal transfer? With whom have you been coordinating regarding this transfer (from HR)? Have you received an addendum to your appointment letter (regarding the transfer)? Facts are needed to answer your question.
