Dear Seniors,

I am working as an HR in an Auto Manufacturing company. Here, we have an apprenticeship training concept, but I don't have any previous experience. Please let me know if we can take a new batch for Apprenticeship training on a 1-year basis. What is the procedure, and which forms need to be filled, and which documents do we need to collect from the candidates?

Your earliest response would be highly appreciated.

Thank you, Mr. Prashanth,

I had a fixation letter issued here six years ago, but it was not effectively implemented, resulting in a lack of any documents. If you have any materials regarding ATS, please provide them. It would be very helpful for me to take further action.

Mr. Shivanand,

Here are two issues:

1. ITI apprentices.
2. Diploma and above category apprentices.

If you require ITI-based apprentices, you have to approach the Apprentice Adviser Office located in your area. Apprentices for ITI are allotted through a survey by the adviser based on the strength of skilled workers in your unit. Every 7 skilled trade workers will be allotted one apprentice by the Apprentice Adviser.

You can approach BOAT for sandwich courses, diploma engineers, and graduate engineers. If you visit the government office, you can meet with individuals who can guide you on how to register.

If you fail to locate the office, inquire at the employment office or try to obtain the address through surrounding industries' HR staff.

Dear All,

I would like to shed some light on this issue based on my experience. If you are interested in taking on an apprentice, you can contact your nearest ITI. For higher qualifications, you can consider diploma holders as well.

1. The number of apprentice seats depends on the ratio with your existing workmen. For example, if you hire an Electrician apprentice, a ratio of 7:1 means that for every 7 existing electricians, you need to appoint one electrician apprentice.

2. Subsequently, you need to fill out format 1A and submit it to your apprentice advisor. They will provide you with the contract papers for the apprentice contract.

3. It is important to maintain an attendance register for the apprentices, detailing their absences and short leaves.

4. Format 2 is used for their weekly performance report, which should be signed by their supervisor.

5. There is a fixed stipend for different years of apprenticeship.

I hope this information is helpful. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Best regards,
