Dear Seniors,

I am seeking information regarding my PF account. I wish to pursue the RTI route as my personal visits, phone calls, and attempts to obtain information through the website have not been successful. Please provide details on the exact procedure, any specific form (I have been informed that there is no form for RTI), the payment methods available, and instructions on whom the cheque or DD should be made out to.

Your prompt response will assist me in starting this process promptly. The query pertains to the Regional PF offices in Bandra and Kandivali.

Hi,

A postal order of Rs 10 would be ideal. The postal order should be addressed to the Accounts Officer, EPFO. The query should be specific and focused on a single subject, preferably. There are various formats available. Even a handwritten RTI query receives a response. Generally, a response is received within 15-20 days if the query is written correctly.

Let me inquire, what is the real issue at hand? Typically, meeting with the Commissioner gets things done.

What information are you looking for that requires you to go the RTI route? If you have the PF number and establishment code, you can access the information online. Will RTI provide the answer you seek if you have other queries? Perhaps you are seeking a different type of information. RTI can be challenging to navigate, so you may require assistance from individuals who have experience with it. I know some lawyers/activists who are proficient in using it.

It can be sent on plain paper in a simple way, giving details of self along with the required information in a clear manner. Alternatively, you may download the application from the website of EPFO or any other government website. Fill it out and send it to the CPIO of the concerned PF office along with an IPO/draft of Rs. Ten plus charges for the number of pages required in approximate. For more exact information, contact the PRO of the PF Office, get the name and designation of the CPIO, and send it to:

Dear Harashada.B,

Before applying for RTI, try using this PF grievance website where you can register your query. You will be allotted a registration number through which you can track your issue. This website has been helpful to me in many cases. The URL is Home Page.

Thank you.

Please let me know whether Citizen School, Nanjangud are remitting their employees PF contribution regularly to the respective EPF accounts?

This is really interesting now. How do you expect the members of this forum to know whether a particular school in some city we have never heard of is remitting PF? And who are you? Why do you want that info?
