I am working as an Executive HR in an RMC Manufacturing Company. According to ISO training standards, every employee needs to undergo 12 hours per year of training. Our HR manager is located in another office and consistently reminds us to conduct training programs. Being new to the HR department, I have coordinated with all department heads to understand the training requirements of their subordinates. The majority of them have complained about communication and written skills, while a few have suggested technical skills training such as MS-Excel and Health & Safety.
Could you please suggest how I should proceed with these training sessions? Whom should I contact, and how should it be organized?

First of all, it is better to conduct a skill gap analysis for all the employees by the respective Function HODs. Identify the training needs through gap analysis, considering the maximum competencies and skills required to perform their activities. List all the gaps and prepare a Training Calendar. After preparing the Training Calendar, identify the trainers either internally or externally.
Training is scheduled in the following classifications:
a) Induction & Orientation training
b) In-house training for existing employees in various operational modules.
c) External training by a competent person or external bodies on a need basis.
