Dear all,

Good noon to all of the members. Currently, I have joined the steel manufacturing unit. The temperature is very high inside the shop floor. In case of any spillage happening to a worker, they should immediately go to the emergency eye wash shower. In the meantime, when the worker opens the eye wash, the water temperature is very high. Are there any innovative eye wash solutions available in the market to eliminate this type of situation?

Kindly, I need your suggestions.

But as I am aware, eye wash showers are connected to the water supply through a pipe, and they should ensure that cooled water is provided compared to what is currently being supplied. Perhaps the tank or pipe through which water is delivered to the eye wash should be covered to maintain a lower temperature.

These are my observations, and the best guidance can be provided by those involved in the design and manufacturing of such systems.

Hello Sreeharisri,

Please use the power of the Internet—I did just that to post my earlier response. I am sure you will get what you want. Since this sort of situation is pretty common in many sectors and geographic areas, there will also be many manufacturers of the type/model of showers you are looking for.

All the best.

Dear Sir,

Please provide insulation to the pipelines connected to the eye wash showers and water storage tanks to better protect them by keeping them under a shed or in shadow. This will help maintain the water at a normal temperature compared to before.

Thank you,
Harish

Dear Sir,

You can insulate the pipelines as well as water storage used for providing water to the eye shower can be made of cement or concrete, which will help to keep the water at a normal temperature for a longer duration.
