Role of HR is to help other employees to get on a career track and to provide them a development path. If you are confused about your own self, even after putting in 5 years of experience, and need others to suggest which courses shall put you on a fast track, there is some mismatch between your role and ambitions.

You have to decide yourself, based on your interests, potential, qualifications, and aspirations as to what add-ons to your profile can sharpen your growth. There is enough information available on the web to know about the training and development programs available for HR Executives. But before you decide for one or more of these, you have to do some gap analysis in your own skills and competencies. After all, you know yourself better than any one of us; we have never seen or met you, or known anything about you from your peers, subordinates, and seniors. Any generic inputs provided by us, in the absence of full feedback on your profile, may prove detrimental to your growth. So, there is a need to caution yourself!

Amit, after 4-5 years of experience, many HR professionals tend to think in similar ways. I have observed this in numerous cases. Additionally, it would be challenging for anyone to provide suggestions without knowing more about you. We are unaware of your job role, company, educational background, industry, or your plans for the next 5 years. If you provide a clear picture, I am confident that there are many people here who can assist you. 😉

There is a certification called PHR and SPHR. It is a US-based certification, but it also has a Global PHR and Global SPHR certification, which is very good and should be taken by an HR professional looking to work in an international environment.
