Hi Friends,
Today i reached to office lil'late and my company HR was unfortunately standing at our office place. He called me for reason but my voice shaked.
My voice shaked not due to fear of him. My voice shaked because , when i saw his eye i was shocked. That eye was looking as a tired eye. A black dark circle under his eye!
When i come back to home , my heart said... You have very less problem compression to him.
Now i am realizing, any non sense made by me will indirectly effect him.
My friends, there are HRs whose job is very much depressible but complains to non.
If you are also an employee like me, please try to understand there problems also.
I am really feeling sorry because once i disturbed him.
One thing i would like to say - My HR is very good of nature.

Dear Mr. Ashraf Ali,

A professional atmosphere to employees should be promoted at all time and being punctual is imminent. You are accurate in whatever you said, employees should understand their responsibility and build timekeeping at all times.

No one understands much better as you did - APPRECIATIVE! HR is doing his business and I'm sure employees out there have to do theirs too. Nobody feels sorry to no one these days. Hence I say -- INSTEAD REALIZING SOMEONE ELSE's PROBLEM TO COMMEND, REALIZE WHAT YOU SHOULD DO.

How many of us are punctual? Many of us are NOT!

Let me tell you something which I'm sure many of us are aware of certain facts but still flout --

"Punctuality" as a factor is another way to get an employee to work on time >> Work makes money >> Money is paisd to you on time.

No Punctuality >> Late work >> Late deliverables >> No clients >> No Business >> Employee pays you late >> Even sometimes the employee has no any source to even pay you.

It's We (as employees) should not make exceptions, if this happens there is no need to have policies intially as the business will inevitably suffer.

I would firstly like to thank Mr. Ashraf for appreciating the efforts of HR. I have read many "Hate-you" blogs and posts from employees for HR, but this one was way different than the rest and really felt good about it.

Next to Ms. Sharmila and Mr. Ashok,

That is so true. Coming on time and delivering the best is not something that we are doing for the company but for our own self-interest.

We have a monthly reward schemes wherein we give away certificates to the best employee of the month and star employee of the month.

We have a brief talk from our CEO and only last month he said these words which I would like to contribute for the benefit of all -

"Right from Mahatma Gandhi to Barack Obama, we all have only and equally distributed 24 hours a day. Then how is it that few people are better recognised than us? Why is it that there are people who are achievers in many segments of their life? Why is it that no matter what, certain people do so and so things regularly, almost as a habit? It is all about time management. The 24 hours we have should be maintained in such a way that we not only attend our routine office, eating meals and get the good 8 hours sleep but should try to manage it so that we can spend some time with our family - parents/spouse/kids and friends, do atleast 1 thing we like each day and so on."

I have a habit of trying to gain as much knowledge as I can while on work, by working to the best of my skills, using my expertise, and coming here to gain more knowledge.

In addition to that, I listen to music each day and read a novel or other digest while travelling.

I discuss and share concerns with my sister and family and friends

Watch some mythological / philosophical and comedy shows.

Put a check on my expenses and deeds.

Set a plan of action for next day before I sleep.

It is said that the difference between a performer and a winner is not the lack of knowledge but the lack of will and (my addition) inefficiency to manage time.

Well-said Ms. Ankita. In the outset of the busy schedules one needs to plan.
Disorganised & Unprofessional way has no place to stand these days -- The underlying fact says one needs to have "Time-Management skills".
[I can't always say that people around me are organized. True, the fact is I learnt after seeing one of my colleague getting sacked from one of the company's where I used to work. You know it sounds a Prank, but it ain't not so witty].
The best way I suggest my positive affirmations is try saying/ writing - {I love to be on time as time is important for me and others associated with me}
This is NOT FLIPPANT. The one who understands the depth of this phrase; will schedule things on time.
Facts about not been perplexed for time - You're late, you get stressed - resulting in low performance
Walking late to office -- feeling stumpy if boss would fire you.
Heading late to work -- drive speed on the road & feel anxious
I hope everybody have learnt this phrase - "A stitch in time saves nine" & "Time and tide waits for none" -- veritable ones. How many have implemented?

One thing I want to discuss here "are we the outcast community?". Am giving example of my workplace. As I used to here comments from the employees about our department what they think is we (the HRD) are good for nothing. Evenif you dedicate your life towards their welfare you can never satisfy them. I remember once I used to work for 16 to 18 hrs a day continuously for 1 month and nobody said a word of appriciation but some are commented that I am just doing my job for what I paid. One of our so called engineer yesterday came to me with travel bill which he didnt even know how to write. I return the bill justifying the reason and what he commenting me is " We are working hard, we have so much amount advance showing in accounts dept, and you people are doing nothing and returning the bills and I donot have time to rewrite the bills.".
So harrashing...............

Dear Santosh,
HR has always been people with lots of patience, never forget.
The work and efforts of an HR is very lately recognised, trust me. Everyone of us, irrespective of the departmental segregation do the jobs that we are paid for. Very few of us go out of the limits to really contribute to someone or to the company.
While I was hired and appointed around 6 months back, I was the first and (to date) the only HR person in my organization.
My people had a very lazy habit of coming in leisurely and taking leaves on their own will.
So while I was hired, I did get a "Why did you come?" "Now you're going to ruin our lives..." "Okay so now you'll teach us rules???? We have been breaking them for years..." look
No one said anything but they never co-operated.
I handled everything patiently and made them realise that I would work and do my job role irrespective of they hating me and wanting me to leave....
Things have changed now....
