Dear Sravan,

You are working for 1.5 years and still waiting for your appointment letter. Kindly let us know whether you have received any job offer (before joining the company) or not. If yes, you must have returned them a signed copy as well. How you submitted the signed offer letter, through mail communication or hard copy? Please also mention, what is the mode of payment of salaries, through bank account or in cash? Salary Slip is being provided or not? This will enable us to respond in line with much accuracy.

At the time, what I think, if you have returned your company a signed offer letter through mail, and you are getting your salary through bank account along with the salary slip, you need not to worry much. But you need to request your employer / HR Manager / Any other authority (if any) to issue you an appointment letter, explaining them its importance like as notice period clause / non-disclosure clause etc etc. Hope the management will understand your points and will issue you an appointment letter in back date.

Regards,

Prabhat

Any one who thinks that absence of an appointment letter is going to keep a person with the company for ever, definitely needs a reality check. Well there is nothing you can do about it. But absence of the letter will make little difference. Keep other documents. Specially salary slip.

My wife has to apply for EPS pension on superannuation on Form 10 – D . Section 12 asks for details of all members of the family . After 26-09-2008 Sections 9,10 and 11 pertaining to Commutation and Return of Capital are no longer applicable. My wife wants to nominate her unmarried daughter age 32 yrs ( ie more than 25 yrs age ) under section 12 in Form 10-D for receiving the pension in case of death of pensioner. Is it permissible ? Would appreciate some advice. Thanks . Vijayan
