In constant pursuit for spreading higher knowledge among HR People, I am happy to inform you that pursuant of the powers conferred in sub section (2) of section 5 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, the Governor of Haryana, after consultation with the State Minimum Wages Advisory Board, Haryana and with reference to its notification No 3/42/83-3 Lab dated 27/06/2007, the Labour Department, Haryana Government had fixed the minimum rate of wages (all inclusive) in respect of different schedule employments (except Brick Kilns) as mentioned in the schedule effective from 01/07/2007.
The minimum Wage Rates are attached with the Consumer Price Index and are fixed from time to time as per increase or decrease in points of index price on periodical basis generally on monthly basis. The Index Prices at the end of the half year and in the month of June, 2012 were 1743 points. Now on completion of the year and in the month of December, 2012 these points have been increased by 106 points to the existing as were in the month of June, 2012 and now these are 1849 points.
Now, In pursuant of the provision stipulated in section 5 (2) of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, the minimum wage rate for all scheduled employment has been increased by Rs. 244.86 on monthly basis and Rs. 9.42 on daily basis effective from 01/01/2013.
Hence the revised minimum Wages rates in the schedule employment in Haryana State effective from 01/01/2013 are as under.
Unskilled workers Rs. 5212.15 monthly or Rs. 200.46 daily
Semi skilled worker (A) Rs. 5342.15 monthly or Rs. 205.46 daily
Semi skilled Worker (B) Rs. 5472.15 monthly or Rs. 210.46 daily
Skilled Worker (A) Rs. 5602.15 monthly or Rs. 215.46 daily
Skilled worker (B) Rs. 5732.15 monthly or Rs. 220.46 daily
Highly Skilled worker Rs. 5862.15 monthly or Rs. 225.46 daily
Hence you are requested to kindly look forward and take appropriate action to kindly implement the revised minimum wages rates w.e.f. 01/01/2013 in the Factories and Establishment working in Haryana State. Kindly ignore if your establishment is not falling in the territorial jurisdiction of Haryana State. The copy of the notification will be supplied very shortly to your goodself in due course.
