Hi, Nice to hear about that. We in metro cities need not worry about ESIC, PF, etc. since we get it as a welcome kit when we join the organization. There are many places in our country where these kinds of welfare are not provided for the employees. Kudos to the government of Tamil Nadu who have ensured their own people's welfare and benefits. Hope it gets incorporated soon where these are not yet practiced.

Dear All,
Please note that the State Government of Tamil Nadu has reduced the threshold limit of persons for the coverage of specified establishments from 20 to 10. This limit is irrespective of the wages of such persons. This means that with this notification, Employee State Insurance (ESI) will be applicable to any establishment in Tamil Nadu where 10 or more persons are employed, regardless of the salary limit.
A notification regarding this change is attached herewith for your information and reference.
