On my ESIC form, my first name is misspelled by the person in HR who filled out the form. I asked him for a correction, but he said there is no issue as the number will be the same. I fulfilled all the requirements needed for the ESIC card, such as taking the family photo.
Is there a way to correct the name, and will there be any issues in the future if there is a claim?

Yadi aap ek baar ESIC number le lete hain to dobara aap naam ko modify nahi kar sakte hain... Haan, aapki is paristhiti mein aap apne HR department ko keh sakte hain ki voh apni official ID se ESIC mein nimn likhit address par is bare mein mail kare. ESIC apne IT department ya apne level par aapke naam mein sansodhan kar degi.

Yes, the name can't be changed online in ESIC. You have to get the TIC and the letter which needs to be signed by an authorized signatory on the letterhead of the company. It needs to be submitted in the ESIC office, and the name will be changed in 2 weeks for sure. I have handled such situations many times. This is the only way to do it.
