Details of registers like the formats, numbers, etc., are mentioned in the rules made by each state under the Acts. You may read the Tamil Nadu rules under the following Acts applicable to your state:

1. Tamil Nadu Shops & Commercial Establishment Act.
2. Industrial Disputes Act.
3. Minimum Wages Act.
4. ESI Act (if you have employees with a salary up to or less than Rs 15,000 per month).
5. Payment of Gratuity Act.
6. Payment of Bonus Act (you can ignore this if the salary of employees is more than Rs 10,000 per month).
7. Contract Labor Act, if you have employees engaged through Contractors.
8. National & Festival Holidays Act of Tamil Nadu (this is not very significant if you are working 5 days a week).
9. Maternity Benefit Act.
10. Payment of Wages Act for employees with wages up to Rs 18,000 per month.

You may also verify whether Tamil Nadu has any act on the Welfare fund applicable to commercial establishments like IT companies. If so, that also needs to be complied with. You can contact me for further consultation.
