Friends,
Would anyone be able to enumerate topics to be included as part of the curriculum for spoken English for children aged 5 to 12 years? I intend to start spoken English classes for children and plan on developing my own curriculum; hence, I would appreciate if I could get guidelines on what to include in it.
Also, the same for etiquette training and communication skills for children. I want to be able to deliver a perfectly professional and serious module that would prepare the kids really well to speak fluently, communicate effectively, and be appreciated for their etiquette.

Dear Nashbramhall,
Thank you for your prompt response. I am a pre-primary teacher at one of the preschools in Mumbai. I have only just started to work on this idea and would welcome advice on what age groups could ideally be clubbed together in a class.
I had a look at the website and found it very helpful. Would it be possible to help me with some information on etiquette training and communication skills as well?

Please search the web; that's what I did to give links in my previous post. I searched and found this link [Game Ideas for Children 6-8 Years of Age | eHow.com](http://www.ehow.com/list_6674719_game-children-6_8-years-age.html) at [Google](http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&sa=X&ei=NY83UI6hD6WM0wWW7YC 4BA&ved=0CBwQvwUoAQ&q=etiquette+tr aining+for+5+to+12+year+olds&spell=1&a mp;bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&fp=1b1d0b3d 31212ea3&biw=1093&bih=477)

Simhan is right. There is loads of stuff on teaching English and language games - for all types - spoken, written, listening, reading. The British Council Library now has an online membership option which will deliver and pick up books. They have a lot of books on the subject too.
Hope you manage to find what you need to plan your curriculum. Just remember to stay with the sequence of LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing).
All the best!
