Hi Hanuma, Excellent ppt. Is there any legal body that deals with Sexual harrasment cases other than the police/court. Is there any ombudsman here in India? Regards, Ken

Hi Ken,
Many organisations do have internal committees dealing with sexual harrasment cases. If the victim happens to be a woman or from a minority, we have government sanctioned bodies like the National Commissions for Women and Minorities that would take up cudgels on the victims' behalf. But beyond that, its only the police and the courts that look into these issues.
Cheers,
Sameer :)

Thanks sameer,
The reason I have not chosen the police and the courts is because of thier unethical way of handling cases. I have experienced them beating up a person charged with SH, but later he was found notguilty, the cops rendered no apology....

Hi
The Apex Court has given specific guidelines regarding fundamental rights of working women in "Vishaka & Others Vs State of Rajasthan" case. Hence we must take these guidelines into consideration while drafting the Sexual Harassment Policy.
The text of the above judgment is attached for your ready reference.
Thanks & Regards

+Profound -(subjective) for me the background is too impersonal for this topic. Is this with purpose?
