Dear HR Professionals,
I need an advice- My son has joined a well known Company. His immediate senior seems unhappy with him for the reason that he wanted his man in this position. He's very abusive and humiliates my son at every occasion. He's also threatened to replace him once the probation period is over. Is there anything my son can do? Should my son approach the HR? Will it offend his senior? Should I approach the person or HR?This is his dream job and he'll be shattered if he's thrown out. Please guide.
Regards

Dear Keya,
I can understand why the person wants to throw out your boy.
I would have liked if your son himself has posted this query and not his mom.
Please understand this is a tough world and let your boy face it on his own that is the way he will learn.

Dear Sir
Sorry for this situation. If it is well known organization your son can approach HR and inform his grievance and request them to keep this secret.
Then HR will work in a different way to solve this issue. Before that let him talk with senior make him convince about his job dreams.
My suggestion is please you don't approach any of the officials it will not good.

Hi
Ensure you have sufficient documents or data to prove his capability during his probation period, Ensure he gets in touch with the right person. Last thing please do not spoon feed him, it seems he is you only son, let him fight the battle, and I think he expects the same treatment he gets from home at office.

If it is your first job then it is ok, but you will face this kind of problem in most of the organisation, so don't furstate.
Just do the job very seriously, don't make any mistake rather don't give any chance to your superior to scold you.
Make him happy by his kind of work. after some time it will manage.

Hi
You are right Rocklin, sometime our ward expect the same treatment as home...this is absolutely a tough world and everybody has to make his own ways.
As suggested by Mr.Eswar he can definately approach the HR regarding his disconfirmtness if he is in a good company.
My best wishes to him

I am not sure on what basis you or your son can claim that, "...he wanted his man in this position". Corporates doesn't work this way. May be your son is trying to hide his inefficiencies by blaming his boss. Corporate world is really rude. Competition is high. Tell your son to let his performance and discipline do all the talking. There needs to be strong written document to prove the claim of your son.

I agree with Prasenjit. It is realy a tough world so everyone has to survive with their own effort and approach. I believe such situations will help your son to be more strong in his profession. Boss is always right and it is just simply that how do you take it. However if it is difficult to do so then he can approach to HR.
